Rambo Amadeus is one of the most important figures of the Serbian-Montenegrin alternative music scene of the 1990s. He’s known for his eccentric persona and witty, satirical-political lyrics, combined with the musical fusion of jazz, rock, hip hop and turbo folk.
His new song Euro Neuro is the official Montenegrin entry for the 2012 Eurovision contest to be held in Baku, Azerbaijan. This time, Rambo raps in broken English, riding a donkey to the EU and taking the piss out of nationalism, pseudo-cosmopolitanism, western orientalism and rheumatic euro-bureaucracy. He claims his donkey is the symbol of “sustainable development”. We hope he wins.
